We found this Bowl in a pottery shop in Seto City in Aichi prefecture in Japan. Seto is famous for it’s long history in pottery. The Town was one of the first places that produced pottery on large scale in Japan.
The Japanese word IKE translates to Pond in english. The green, blue colors and water-inked pattern on this Matcha Bowl resemble the sight of a pond.
